I use this for College because of it's big size, high-speed transfer and it's protected from getting bashed about in my bag by the rubber coating on it. I'm prone to dropping and breaking things also so this is perfect! It's a very good price too. The rubber coating IS a dust-magnet, as other reviewers have mentioned, but it's not too bad and not an issue for me. It's there for saving my work on, not to look pretty!

I use this to back-up my photos and documents from my laptop every week.
No messing with discs or on-line storage- just a simple way of backing up from pc / laptop. Small enough to keep next to laptop without creating clutter-or keep it on a keyring !
At 44 I am new to this back up game and I find this is such an easy way of saving / backing up my cherished photos and documents which took ages to create from scratch from word and works.
I will definitely ungrade to the 16gb version when I need the extra capacity.

I bought this mainly to put music on as i have bought a new car stereo with a usb input. I have put 46 albumns on it so far and still have just under a gig left. The car stereo plays them perfectly. Much better than carting a ton of CD's around.
