Finally got round to replacing vhs recorder and old dvd player. The Tosh plays all dvd formats I have (including dvds created on a pc) without problems. Read the quick setup first to get you started before going through the very comprehensive manual. Its less daunting! Freeview picture is great. I have recorded tv shows to the HDD and the picture/sound are excellent. With a 250GB HDD to play with and the facility to copy across (and back) from dvd discs, this is a great machine. The machine is also very quiet in operation. Only gripe I have is that dvd's take a while to loadup. I have read reviews where its been said the remote can take a while to make the machine respond. If this happens or a button press does not do what it's meant to do, change the batteries in the remote.
