We will be flying on the smaller planes and normal carry-on bags are considered too large. We are restricted to 36 linear inches and no more than 15 pounds per bag. This bag is perfect for the requirements. The bag is well made and I love all the compartments for organization. Also, each of the main 2 compartments expands 2 inches. This is really nice luggage." I use this bag as my everyday briefcase to carry my laptop, paperwork, etc. Since I travel VERY frequently it is always at the ready to be an overnighter - which is the reason I chose the bag. It can easily carry business needs and everything else for one overnight or, if packing smartly, two hotel nights (three days travel).
