I have been using Acer Ferrari 3400 for past 3 years except for it's heating and battery problem it was great then when i had to depart from my ferrari. i went for a new laptop hunt, as i did occasnal gamming and also carring around as am a student. i was looking for a mix featured laptop not expensive can do gamming and portable with good battery life. as i went to PC worlk and did some research online. i game close to ASUS brand i went to the shop to see first hands and spent hrs lookin every aspect of laptops available to PC world shop. then i narrowed to ASUS X53Sr for 550£ it is also capaable for playing HD movies and a DVI to play on external tv for HD viewing mind you DVI vs HDMI is both the same technology with little difference the view quality is 99% same HDMI carries sound with single cable unlike DVI. "you have only HDMI TV/Projector?" no problem you can easliy find DVI to HDMI converter . so it's a future proof too. for the gaming side i play BF2 CNC3 in full details only a little lag but still for a latop it's pretty decent. this laptop is light weight well thou not the lighest but easy to be carried around. it also includes Windows Media Center which is a plus who uses with XBOX/ XBOX 360. the USB location is also good in front and 2 on the back it's useful for flash drives.
the camera whcih is 1.3 megapixel is superb quality even in dim lights. the audio quality is also decent.

the only disadvatage on the powerful machine was it does not include BLUETOOTH. whcih is not a major problem as we can buy seprately. it woudl have completed the pacage of ultimate laptop for it's price.

Advantages: Good USB Location, Camera, HD Play back, external HD playback, good weight, Price

Disadvantage: No Bluetooth, coule include more usb ports, ASUS Bundled softwares, Low Capacity HDD
